If you aren't aware of the devastation caused by Hurricane Helene, please look up Unicoi, TN - Erwin, TN, Western, NC videos on YouTube and consider donating supplies or gift cards, etc. to those in need. There are complete towns gone like Swannanoa, NC & Chimney Rock, NC. One of our local hospitals, Unicoi County Hospital, had to have 54 people rescued from the roof by helicopter. The hospital building is a complete loss.
Banner Elk, NC is completely inaccessible by land or water, it can only be reached by Helicopter.
FEMA is taking too long to respond.
Places like Roan Mountain, TN - Greeneville, TN - Erwin, TN - Unicoi, TN - Asheville, NC, etc. have no water, cell service, or power and it may be weeks before they get any.
